Shannon Eckel

An impressive junior career with Top 25 at 2015 Maclay Finals,
​has led into a successful professional business
competing in everything from baby greens to the Welcome Prixs.

Hat Trick Sporthorses is the home of professional rider and trainer, Shannon Eckel. She originally hails from New Jersey, where she had a very accomplished junior career and created her own Hat Trick Sporthorses. Going to both Medal and Maclay finals for 3 years; most notably being Top 30 at 2015 Maclay Finals and 7th place in the 2016 Zone 2 Maclay Regionals hosted at Old Salem Farm. Shannon has competed in the baby greens to the Grand Prix Welcome at all major venues, including but not limited to: Old Salem Gold Cup, Lake Placid, WEF, Devon, Vermont, and many many more.

Shannon has been known to take in sale horses, difficult and green horses. Working and riding for some of the best names in the business; such as: Schuyler Riley, Frank Madden, Amanda Steege, Emil Spadone, Don Stewart, and Robert Beck, just to name a few. Shannon has always been known to have a keen eye in finding horses and a knack to ride successfully in all 3 rings.
